History |
Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers has been providing quality health care to the medically underserved in the St. Louis metropolitan area for more than three decades.
In 1972, a small group of physicians, medical students, and community activists founded People’s Health Centers as a free clinic located in a storefront on Kingsbury & Des Peres. In 1979, we became an Urban Health Initiative Section 330-funded community-based health center.
Today, our 150+ people operate across a broad community campus with three health center locations, a youth center, and more than 25 school-linked sites.
