School Linked Care

The Betty Jean Kerr People’s Health Centers (PHC) has partnered with the St. Louis Public School System, St. Louis County School Districts, and the St. Louis Archdiocese to provide much-needed school-linked health services. In addition to periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment exams, our school-linked services include immunizations, dental screening, and follow-up exams.

Our school programs give students better access to health care while making it easier to detect potential health problems before they become serious. Untreated health problems, of course, harm a student’s ability to learn and to grow. Providing school-linked services also decreases absenteeism by keeping children healthier and makes it less likely that they’ll miss school to attend a doctor’s appointment.
